Authentic Custom Journeys

Custom-Made Rides

Our custom-made rides offer a flexible and personalised way to explore the Sacred Valley on horseback, combining riding with cultural visits and time off the horse. Each journey is shaped around individual interests and riding experience, with careful consideration of terrain, altitude, and Andean conditions.

With nearly three decades of living and working in the Sacred Valley, our knowledge is grounded in daily life and long-standing local relationships. This allows us to design journeys that go beyond riding, drawing on a deep familiarity with local traditions, landscapes, archaeological sites, and everyday life in the valley.

Planning begins with a short questionnaire that allows us to design a proposed itinerary of three days or more. Rides are supported by experienced equestrian trail guides, knowledgeable English-speaking cultural guides, and a licensed support vehicle with a reliable driver. All land transfers are included.

Hotel accommodation is carefully selected and can be upgraded on request. A visit to Machu Picchu may be added, subject to availability and advance ticket booking. Custom-made rides are open to riders aged 16 years and older.

Optional Non-Riding Activities

A varied selection of cultural, historical, and nature-based experiences can be combined with your ride.
Options include visits to Ollantaytambo, Moray, Chinchero, and lesser-known archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley; encounters with local markets, farming communities, and textile artisans; as well as wildlife conservation, regional gastronomy, salt pans, scenic walks, and carefully chosen local experiences.

Activities are arranged according to individual interests and combined with riding days, with full land-transfer support.

Riding Concept

Our rides are progressive journeys, moving through the landscape rather than returning to the same base each day. Horses stay overnight in different locations along the route, while guests are comfortably transferred each day between their hotel and the horses. Riders stay with the same horse throughout the journey.

Horse welfare is central to our programme. We never ride our horses for more than three consecutive days without a rest day, following a rhythm of riding and rest (for example: three riding days, one rest day, then continuing). This allows both horses and riders to remain fresh, balanced, and comfortable at altitude.

"Eddy, we are now back in England following our fantastic holiday in Peru, by common consent our best family holiday ever. We all really enjoyed riding your wonderful Peruvian Paso horses, the scenery in both the Sacred Valley and up on the Altiplano was just spectacular and the company was just great. We have so many happy and wonderful memories of our trip of a lifetime to Perol Chico. A very big thank you to you, Marcela, Fernando, Lucia and Raul for looking after us so well and making our stay so enjoyable, we really appreciated it. Many thanks once again."
