The Monasterio Ride

Three-day ride.
This ride is a truly remarkable journey through the Sacred Valley, with visits to fascinating Inca sites along the route. The ride will take us to the amazing saltpans of Salinas, Maras, the ruins of Cheqoq, Lake Huaypo and the agricultural terraces of Moray. The ride includes three full riding days with two nights lodging in one of the Sacred Valley's finest hotels. Also included are all meals, non-alcoholic beverages, 2 professional trail guides (English speaking), grooms to take care of the horses along the route, entrance fees to the ruins, a 4x4 back up vehicle to the tour and round-trip transportation between Cusco and the riding stable. The Ollantay Ride

Four-day ride.
Discover the Magic of the Peruvian Paso horse on this wonderful ride in the Andes. The Sacred Valley Ride

Twelve-day ride.
Lima-Cusco-Sacred Valley-Machu Picchu-Lima
See Peru in a way few are privileged to experience. By day, explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas on horses descended from the steeds of the Conquistadors. By night, enjoy the luxury and comfort of the finest hotels in Peru. And of course, there is a visit to the mysterious lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu. This ride is more than an unforgettable riding experience in the Andes. It combines culture, history and adventure with fine Peruvian cuisine, comfortable mountain camps, and first-class hotels. Ride to the Pacific

Ten-day ride.

Join us on our adventurous ride through unexplored and merciless desert terrain to reach a secluded beach haven on the Pacific shoreline. Visit the convent of Santa Catalina and see the famous mummy of Juanita in Arequipa, the City of Eternal Spring. This is a trip suited to pioneering souls – an equestrian journey filled with stark contrasts. Hot days, cool nights, barren deserts and the abundant wilderness of the coastline, the opulence of a 5 star hotel versus the pure simplicity of rustic beach cabanas that will have you feeling like Robinson Crusoe himself. We can help you design an itinerary tailor-made and as you wish. Riding activities can be combined with many optional non-riding activities (e.g., white water rafting, fly-fishing, Amazon cruise, bird-watching, etc.). A visit to the mysterious lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu, a flight over the famous Nasca Lines, or a journey to the rainforest can also be part of your itinerary. We specialize in small groups, from one to ten guests, to guarantee an intimate experience and personal approach. We take the time to get to know you, listen to your needs and answer all your questions along the way. Your safety during your stay is our number one priority! Our Rides, Perol Chico

 

Rides are divided into those for experienced riders and those for the less experienced. Click here to learn more about rating your riding ability

Guests participating on the rides for experienced riders are expected to be able to sit in the saddle for up to six hours a day and control a horse in any terrain at all paces and under different circumstances; intermediate level and above. The rides for less experienced riders are adapted to allow for a slower pace and less time in the saddle per day.

Guests are responsible for having an adequate, valid insurance policy including coverage for all the sporting activities that they are likely to participate in. Appropriate medical insurance is obligatory.

It is understood by Perol Chico that guests are in a suitable condition to partake in a riding tour, are not riding against any medical advice, and that guests know of no reason why they should not be participating in such a tour. Guests will be required to sign a waiver of liability at the start of the tour.
